She couldn’t remember a time when she was truly happy, it’d been so long. Now she sat in her room, tear stained face staring out the window from clear honey-colored eyes. Her pale skin merely looked paler, and she was so skinny, for with this unhappiness came a weight loss. She couldn’t eat, she’d only vomit it up again. It wasn’t that she was bulimic, it was merely impossible for her to hold solid foods down.
As he passed the house, he saw a slight shadow sitting still in an upstairs window. At first, he felt inclined to completely ignore it, but he was somehow drawn to the figure sitting there, staring out of it. What he saw was a pretty, although skinny girl sitting there, long burgundy-colored hair pulled into a low ponytail, skin dull, eyes lackluster, probably from lack of sleep.
As she stared outside, she noticed the most handsome man she’d ever seen staring up into her window. He had a medium build and medium-colored skin. His hair was raven-black and from where she sat, his eyes looked of the same shade. Something about him sent the warmth she’d not felt in forever coursing through her, she’d been cold for so long. So unhappy, for there was no reason to be happy. She stood.
He blinked at the sudden stirring within the room. And as he stared up there he noticed her coming toward the window. Was she coming to yell at him to go away?
That wasn't it at all...she wanted him to come in...to share some of the happiness that he radiated with her.
